News of the Third International Altai Forum in English

The creation of international groups is a new stage in the development of the International Altai Forum

On June 21, Gorno-Altaisk will host the III International Altai Forum 2024 "Altai Vector of Eurasian Integration: in the interests of strengthening interethnic and interreligious harmony." The Forum's organizing team - members of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia and the Government of the Altai Republic - began preparing the work of the discussion platform with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.

The Forum will contribute to the transformation of the Altai region into a dynamic Eurasian center of influence and expand the spheres of international cooperation of the Altai Republic, laid down by the previous two forums. Thanks to the work of the discussion platform, international participants from among representatives of Eurasian political circles, business communities and leaders of civil associations will be able to establish broad interaction.
Alexandra Ochirova, poet, Co-Chairman of the General Council of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia, member of the State Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, noted that the work of such discussion platforms with the invitation of iconic figures from many countries of the world makes an important contribution to the search for solutions to modern problems:

"Personally, I put into the dialogue of the Altai Forum all those thoughts that came to me for many, many years, after what I observed, comprehended what was happening around me - after certain significant events that took place in our country and in the world. I can say that all these development opportunities and risks are not fully understood by those people who should professionally comprehend and offer solutions to the situations that have arisen, from those challenges, risks and threats. It is necessary that the exits be strategic in nature.

Today, we can say that the scientific and technical process is significantly ahead of humanitarian development. And today, those qualities that a person has developed in relation to his own self, his personal potential, have been lost. Therefore, we can say that the most characteristic feature of the modern world is the spiritual and moral crisis. And if you notice, it always starts earlier than the financial and economic one.

One of the most serious problems is the problem of human identity. We are talking about civic identity, about national and cultural identity, but there is still one kind of identity that is under threat. This is the identity as such of that human self, of the breed that he may lose.

The crisis has always accompanied the change of civilizations. It has always been associated with the loss of meaning, which destroyed statehood, civilization, and destroyed the human personality from within. Today's time is no exception. How do I get these valuables back? That's what we're going to talk about in this forum."
The III International Altai Forum will be aimed at promoting interethnic and interfaith harmony. At the same time strengthening the all-Russian civic identity, paying special attention to the active involvement of non-governmental organizations in solving modern problems related to human security, humanitarian modernization and the progress of various ethnocultural communities in the Eurasian sphere.
