Poet and philosopher Alexandra Ochirova presented new books

A scientist, an active public figure and a subtle lyrical poet are an infrequent combination. Nevertheless, there are poetry collections on the table, and here is their author, a severely dressed, elegant lady, Doctor of Philosophy Alexandra Ochirova. In the Yabloko Hall at the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery, as part of the celebration of the XXV anniversary of UNESCO World Poetry Day in Moscow, a presentation of Ochirova's new books was held, among which was a book of her new poems "And Every Day in the Singular" and "Russian Cosmism" - both with illustrations by Zurab Tsereteli.

"One philosopher said that there is nothing in the mind that would not be in the senses, and a philosophical view of things helps to systematize feelings given by nature," says the author of the books.

Co-chair of the Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, and before that, State Duma deputy, member of the Public Chamber, Alexandra Ochirova wrote poetry both at school and as a student of the Faculty of Philosophy at Moscow State University and in graduate school at the Institute of Philosophy of the USSR Academy of Sciences. I wrote on planes, trains, cars, rushing to business meetings. She is able to write down the lines that came to mind while working on a scientific article at once in the right size and correct rhyme. Another thing is that Alexandra Vasilyevna's handwriting is understood only by her husband, Hero of the Soviet Union Valery Ochirov, who deciphers his wife's manuscripts and turns them into books…

Friends, colleagues, poets and translators, connoisseurs of the poet and philosopher's work came to the presentation of new books.

"Alexandra Ochirova's work continues and multiplies the traditions of Russian cosmism," poet and literary critic Konstantin Kedrov said at the presentation. "What we see in her poetry is a new feeling of a 21st-century person who feels an inextricable connection between personality and the universe."

According to Kedrov, this connection is a source of constant inspiration for the author and it is difficult to replace it with scientific truth.

At the evening, in confirmation of these words, of course, the poet's poems were heard, in Russian — performed by the author and People's Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Goloborodko — and in other languages. Russian Russian translator Sergei Neshcheretov read his own translations of Ochirova's poems into English: the book "Russian Cosmism" was published simultaneously in two versions — in Russian and English.

Ochirova's poetry is the feelings of a poet of the XXI century, who feels the connection between personality and the universe.
Neshcheretov said that he translated the book in free verse, verbiage in order to preserve the meaning of the poetry of the philosopher, poet and public figure.

"I don't divide what I do into creativity and work for the benefit of society. Both in my poems and in my articles, I say that we must return a person to his place. A machine can be entrusted with many things, but it does not have to make decisions. And a person should not lose his humanity in modern conditions," Alexandra Ochirova, a scientist with the intuition of a poet and a poet with the intellect of a scientist, said at the evening.
